Are You interested in having a single-character .ee domain address, or an .ee address associated with different places and country names? Auction starts from 16th of May!
As the aim of the EIF is to be an open and liberal registry and to ensure equal access for all those interested in the .ee domain name resource, the reservations ended at the end of April of this year, and all the domains that have been reserved so far, but which have not been taken up in the last 12 years, will be made available through an English auction.
Thereafter, many number combinations, Estonian place names, many country names and all single-character domains will be auctioned from week to week. The English auction is an open auction – you can see both the current best bid and the number of bids in real time. Proceeds from the auction will be invested in a more efficient .ee, a safer Estonian internet and used for grants.
So – keep an eye on our channels, because that’s where you’ll get instant updates on which domains are up for auction each week!

Why an Older Domain Name Can Be More Valuable Than a New One
For most people, a domain is simply a website address. In reality, however, a domain’s history can influence far more than we might expect at first glance. This becomes especially interesting in the case of older domains, which may already carry a level of trust, visibility, and digital footprint online.
