Changes to the Board of the EIF
The minister simultaneously recalled Vaho Klaamann, a Member of the Board of Santa Monica Networks AS, from the Supervisory Board.
Jaanus Tehver was a member of the Supervisory Board from July 2009 to May 2012, when he became a member of the Foundation's Management Board. Tehver was recalled from the Management Board at the end of 2012.
Jaanus Tehver is a barrister and partner of the law firm Tehver & Partnerid. He became a lawyer in 1998 and obtained a degree in European Law from London's King College. Tehver is a member of the Estonian Bar Association and Chairman of the Board of Transparency International Estonia.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Communication Marika Priske will continue as Chairman of the Foundation's Supervisory Board. Other members include the Deputy Secretary-General for Internal Security of the Ministry of Interior Erkki Koort, IT-councillor of the Reform Party Mati Leet, Chairman of the Board of Reaalsüsteemid AS Tiit Vapper and Chairman of the Management Board of United Armaments International OÜ Lauri Almann.

.ee will update the Domain Regulation due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entering into force on the 25 May 2018. .ee Domain Regulation provides standard terms that regulate the legal relationship between the EIF, domain registrant and registrar (service provider). Main changes concern the WHOIS-service in which the contact information of a registrant who is a natural person can no longer be publicly disclosed.
The Estonian Internet Foundation has received multiple complaints from .ee domain registrants concerning the registration service provided by Beehosting OÜ, assuming that the company is an accredited .ee registrar. While third persons are not prohibited from selling .ee domains, the Foundation can only help users if the company concerned is an accredited .ee registrar.
